Custom Non-Woven Geotextile Fabric

Non-Woven Geotextile Fabrics Tailored to Your Needs

Non-woven geotextile fabrics provide exceptional results because of their polypropylene staple fibers. These fabrics are needle punched, which creates a dimensionally stable fiber network. When used in landscaping or other projects, these high-quality products provide exceptional drainage benefits, separation, and filtration.

Learn more about the wide range of products we offer. From drainage and erosion control to landscaping protection, our contractor-grade non-woven geotextile fabric is made for your specific needs and applications.

Product & Material Information

Carolina Covertech provides custom-designed products to fit your applications and needs. We offer full material development, prototyping, and custom design to meet your project or specific needs.

These materials are available in:

  • Rolls to easily apply the material to surfaces
  • Made with varying water flow rates
  • Various thicknesses ranging from 4 ounces up to 16 ounces

Non-woven geotextile products are typically non-biodegradable, UV resistant for long life, and designed to repel mold and rot risks. They are resistant to insects and rodents as well.

Geotextile Fabric FAQs

  • What is the Difference Between Woven and Non-Woven Geotextile Fabrics?

Most woven geotextiles are semi impermeable. This means they have limitations on what can flow through them. Typically, they have a low flow rate overall. That is unlike non-woven geotextiles. These are permeable, which enables a much higher flow-through rate.

While both of these materials are made from polyester or polypropylene fibers, their construction method enables the difference in permeability. Our industrial sewing solutions can create a final product that is right for your needs.

  • How Long Do Geotextile Fabrics Last?

Products are different, and quality construction matters, but geotextile fabrics can last 20 years or more. Because these fabrics are designed specifically for long-term durability, using fibers produced with controlled specifications, they can last much longer than other products like them.

  • Can Plants Grow Through Geotextile Fabric?

Some plants are very aggressive in their ability to grow through materials. While geotextile fabric is very durable, there is some evidence that root growth and penetration are possible through these materials. However, it is significantly impeded, and that typically means you can use these for long-term plant growth restriction with confidence.

Applications of Non-Woven Geotextile Fabrics

Non-woven geotextile fabrics are versatile for a wide range of applications. Utilize them in a variety of projects, including residential, commercial, and industrial. Examples include:

Stabilization and Erosion Control

Spill Stabilization and Minimization

Separation of Materials and Sections

Filtration

Superior Drainage Support

These materials may be used in a variety of applications beyond landscaping, including  industrial equipment covers and spillage control systems. Many use them in drainage systems, driveways, pathways, and other landscape projects with confidence. Because non-woven geotextile fabrics are so versatile, they can be used in other applications where you need a product designed to last, providing strength and durability.
